{"id":9502,"date":"2016-09-23T09:53:30","date_gmt":"2016-09-23T09:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/emquies-holstein.com\/project\/royal-copenhagen\/?lang=en"},"modified":"2017-07-13T16:00:17","modified_gmt":"2017-07-13T16:00:17","slug":"royal-copenhagen","status":"publish","type":"etheme_portfolio","link":"https:\/\/emquies-holstein.com\/en\/project\/royal-copenhagen\/","title":{"rendered":"Royal Copenhagen"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;8787&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Royal Copenhagen&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>Diana Holstein for Royal Copenhagen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I began working with Royal Copenhagen in 1994 when I was asked to conceive a new design for an existing classic in their crockery range.\u00a0\u00a0 I worked with their development department to produce a range of colour schemes, of which two were finally chosen:\u00a0 light blue and dark blue.<\/p>\n<p>The collection was named Liselund for several reasons.\u00a0 Primarily, I had drawn much inspiration from the beautiful chateau at Liselund, situated on the south-east tip of Denmark and built in the style of the Romantic Age.<\/p>\n<p>In particular I was fascinated by the wall decorations in the chateau which used a special shading technique to carefully apply shadows within the design that seem to make the decoration float just above the surface.\u00a0 I adapted this technique to the design for the Liselund crockery.\u00a0\u00a0 I was also drawn to the name \u201cLiselund\u201d\u00a0 because of my mother Lise, who I wished to thank and honour for the creative gifts she gave me.<\/p>\n<p>The set was first shown at the Formland Fair in the Spring of 2001, where Royal Copenhagen and I received the Formland prize.&#8221;[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_posts_slider slides_content=\"teaser\" title=\"Other Designs\" count=\"All\" posttypes=\"etheme_portfolio\" categories=\"design\"][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Diana Holstein: &#8220;I began working with Royal Copenhagen in 1994 when I was asked to conceive a new design for an existing classic in their crockery range.
